Hangeng Surprises Fans With A Photo Revealing His Role In A New Chinese Film, 'Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy'

Former Super Junior member, Hangeng, revealed through Weibo that he had been busy filming for a new Chinese film titled, "Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy."

On Weibo, he posted a photo of himself with the the director, Tsui Hark.

He also stated that they had completed filming the movie and that they had filmed for 100 days. 

This movie is a take on a famous book in China and is set in the 1940s after World War II.

Many fans are excited to see which role Hangeng plays in this movie and are waiting for its release.

The upcoming film will be adding to the recognition and fame that has continuously been following Hangeng as of late. 

Hangeng recently won the the Most Popular Mainland Male Singer award at QQ Music, which is organized by China's biggest music streaming site, reported Entertainment Tempo. 

The former idol recently had an interview with GQ Magazine, in which he spoke of his plans for the future. 

24-7Kpop reports that the singer/actor is set to release a new album this year. 

Due to the joy of fans, Hangeng reportedly stated that he wants to try to add rock elements in order to experiment with a whole new image and concept. 

He also has plans to fly into space at the end of this year or sometime next year, which is bound to be an exciting experience. 

To mark his ongoing popularity, Hangeng was recently invited to Jackie Chan's 60th Birthday party that was held in Beijing on April 7.

Hengeng reportedly reunited with his former Super Junior pal Siwon. The two were spotted exchaning a handshake and smiles. They both seemed to be on good terms, despite Hangeng's recent departure from the idol group. 

For those who don't know, Hangeng debuted with Super Junior in 2005 and eventually became the leader of the Super Junior sub-unit, Super Junior-M in 2008. 

In 2009, he reportedly left Super Junior after claiming that the contract terms with his then agency SM Entertaiment were unreasonable. 

He has since gained immense popularity as a solo artist in China, taking over the airwaves one step at a time.
