YG Admits Recruitment of Jang Han Na of “K-Pop Star”

YG Entertainment has recruited Jang Han Na, a contestant of SBS "K-Pop Star: Season 3".

On May 8, YG Entertainment claimed: "Jang Han Na has joined YG Entertainment and is currently undergoing a month-long training."

Jang Han Na was included in the TOP 8 during her appearance in "K-Pop Star"; her soulful voice had immediately been noticed by YG's Yang Hyun Suk, who did not hold back with praising her performances.

Jang went on to earn the nickname "Soul Diva" on the show, quickly becoming a favorite of the viewers and receiving praise from judge Yang Hyun-suk as well, according to The Inside Korea.

YG's recruitment of "K-Pop Star: Season 1" contestant Lee Hi has led the newcomer to sweep music charts and awards with debut single "1,2,3,4" in 2012, while "K-Pop Star: Season 2" winner Akdong Musician had triumphed on all music charts with their debut album PLAY.

Because of the success of previous "K-Pop Star" recruitments, Jang Han Na's YG recruitment has been getting quite a bit of attention, topping search engines in the process.

YG recently announced the recruitment of "K-Pop Star: Season 3" participant Lee Chae Young as well.

"K-Pop Star" contestants have been going on to be quite successful as it has been reported that Korean-American Bernard Park of season 3 has signed with JYP Entertainment, according to 24-7kpop.

The 21-year-old also won a cash prize of 300 million won along with two brand new vehicles, although the opportunity to be signed with an agency has clearly been his primary goal.

In regards to choosing to sign with JYP Entertainment, Park stated, "I still have so much that I need to learn and I think that judge Park Jin-Young (CEO of JYP) will be able to teach me the best."

Although rumors of "K-Pop Star" season 4 have been circulating, no official announcement has been made.
