There is very little information on the recently announced Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, but it hasn't stopped fans from theorizing on possible links between various sequels and remakes.

Although we've barely been appointed with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, it is obviously leading many to the idea that a remake of Pokemon Emerald is highly possible as well.

But one theory that is emerging is the fact that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will somehow tie into additional content for Pokemon X and Y, specifically the anticipated sequel Pokemon Z.

This comes from the idea that both Groudon and Kyogre from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have to do with weather and terrain manipulation. Another major Pokemon that is related to such powers is Volcanion, an unreleased Pokemon first found in X and Y.

It is unclear how Volcanion will be brought into the fold of the Pokemon universe, but future plot lines could attempt to connect the Hoenn and Kalos regions.

Another reason to connect Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Pokemon Z, is that before Zygarde was revealed, some believed Rayquaza would be the legendary Pokemon headlining Pokemon Z.

As another "snake-like" legendary Pokemon, many believed Rayquaza fit the Norse mythology from which Xerneas and Yveltal were drawn from.

Is it possible that Pokemon Z and the potential Pokemon Emerald remake (many believe it will be Theta Emerald) will become the same game-a game the will be the sequel to both Pokemon X and Y and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire?
