Maria Sharapova’s Biggest Fan Is Boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov: Will He Watch Her French Open 2014 Quarter Finals Game Against Garbine Muguruza?

So far, French Open 2014 is everything that Maria Sharapova wished for. First of all, her romantic rival, Serena Williams, has tanked out earlier in the tournament so she can have Grigor Dimitrov all to herself. Second, she just demolished Aussie Sam Stosur in a 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 game, which means that she's going into the quarter finals of French Open with confidence. Lastly, her boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov has flunked out of the first round of the Open, which means that now he has all the time in the world to watch her play! Will he come see her quarter final game against Garbine Muguruza?

In his recent interview with W Magazine, he lamented how he hardly ever sees Maria Sharapova even though they live in the same house. The couple has been living together in Manhattan Beach for over a year now, but this doesn't mean that they've been getting much face time.

Grigor Dimitrov admits, "it's not easy. With travel, media, the gym, practice, we hardly see each other. On the other hand, we truly understand each other. We know what sacrifice is."

They also put up with each other's oddities. "But I'll tell you something funny," Dimitrov said, "I've never tried alcohol. I figure I can create my own buzz. Maria gives me a hard time. She's like, 'Share a glass of wine with me.'"

So they try to squeeze in as much couple time as they can manage. See a picture of Maria and Grigor enjoying Madrid on Instagram:

These days, the 23-year-old Grigor Dimitrov's looks have been getting him farther than his tennis skills. During the BNP Paribas Open's press conference, Djokovic sat down next to Dimitrov and said, "You don't need to talk about tennis. Let's talk about your looks." In the first round of French Open 2014, he couldn't keep up with Ivo Karlovic and lost 6-4, 7-5, 7-6.

Let's hope Bulgarian rookie could somewhat be consoled by the fact that his 27-year-old girlfriend is still in the running for the championship. Check out her victorious fist pump after winning her third round game of French Open 2014:

"The biggest pressure is what I put on myself," Grigor Dimitrov said to W Magazine. "I care less about what happens match to match because my goals are way higher, and there's work to be done."

Looks like he's coming up short. Better focus his energy on cheering for Sharapova!
