NBA Finals 2014 Heat Spurs: San Antonio Dominate Miami, 111-92 Behind Leonard's Career High 29 Points, Spurs Now Up 2-1 In Best-of-Seven NBA Finals

The rivalry in the NBA Finals 2014 between the Heat and Spurs continue to brew as San Antonio took home the huge win against the defending champions at the American Airlines Arena Tuesday night.

Kawhi Leonard, who played a major role during last year's NBA Finals once again proved that he can score after knocking down almost 77 percent of his shots, en route to a 29-point performance, his career high both in his professional career and during the Playoffs.

Aside from his brilliant offense, Leonard played good defense as well, up against LeBron James himself. After the first half where the Spurs led the Heat 71-50, James had 16 markers but for the entire second half, the Heat superstar only managed six points more.

Leonard's impressive offense was complimented by the great shooting of Danny Green who went for 7-10 in the field, finishing with 14 points. Tony Parker contributed 14 markers as well for San Antonio.

After a slow start in the half first, the Heat turned things up in the second half, coming as close as nine points. Dwyane Wade scattered 14 of his 22 in the pivotal third frame to keep the game close. But a slashing baseline dunk from Leonard against Chris Andersen, and later an outlet pass to Parker for the outside shot helped San Antonio regain control of the game.

Tim Duncan, who had a quiet night, still posted 14 points and 7 boards, though he did not need to work too hard as San Antonio's players were firing from all cylinders.

Meanwhile, Chris Bosh who had a good first half, ended up with just nine points. A BleacherReport post also mentioned that Bosh's touches have been limited to just 12 for the entire Game 3.

Game 4 will still be held at the AAA in Miami where the Heat will aim to tie the series before they head back to the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
