Michael Schumacher Coma Condition Update: ‘Schumi’ Better After Moving Out Of ICU? F1 Champion’s Full Recovery Still Bleak

Michael Schumacher's coma condition update provides both good and bad news: while he was already wheeled out of the ICU and declared out of danger, the F1 champion's full recovery remained bleak.

According to Bunte, the celebrity magazine based in Germany, the seven-time racing champ has been moved from the ICU of Grenoble hospital and into the rehab ward. While he's already out of danger, his chance at fully recovering from the trauma has lessened.

Various newspapers and websites have reported of Michael Schumacher's coma condition, and most of them were conflicting.

Earlier, manager Sabine Kehm provided Michael Schumacher coma condition update after releasing a statement to Mundodeportivo.com debunking earlier reports that the German racer can already interact with his surroundings.

"Michael Schumacher's health remains unknown while still hospitalized after a serious skiing accident suffered in Dec. 29 last year at the station Méribel (French Alps)," the manager said.

Then Dr. Gary Hartstein said in an interview with the Telegraph that despite Michael Schumacher's coma condition updates, he won't probably get better.

He said: "I can conceive of no possible reason that Michael's entourage, understandably extremely protective of his and their privacy, would not tell his fans if significantly good things have happened."

"I'm quite afraid (and virtually certain) we will never have any good news about Michael. At this point, I rather dread seeing that the family has put out a press release," Hartstein added.

Dr. Didier Martin, chief neurosurgeon at CHU Liege, provided a Michael Schumacher update when he told Sudinfo.be that when a comatose patient is in a prolonged state, that means two possibilities:

"Either there is a deterioration, or there is a positive development. But if there is progress, it is done over months, not days. A patient does not wake up once. It is a popular imaging and it is false," he said.
