"Game of Thrones" cast Jason Momoa will reportedly play Aquaman in the upcoming film "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice." Although the actor, who played the role of Khal Drogo in HBO's hit series, is mum on the matter, his recent Instagram post hints confirmation of the rumors.

On the Instagram account of "Game of Thrones" cast Jason Momoa, he was seen holding a trident with a guitar beside him. The photo was captioned "Stella, Diablo and me."

IGN reported that the trident is a weapon that may be easily associated with the character thus sparking talks that Jason Momoa is indeed Aquaman.

The photo all but actually confirms the "Game of Thrones" actor's involvement in the upcoming film "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice."

The rumors that Jason Momoa is Aquaman in the movie "Batman Vs Superman" has been circulating since December last year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has been negotiating to join the film.

Since the news leaked to the media, the "Game of Thrones" actor Jason Momoa has been silent about the matter. Neither the actor nor his representative said anything about being part of the movie or if he will appear in "Batman Vs Superman."

Warner Bros., the film outfit at the helm of the movie, also declined to comment about the matter with The Hollywood Reporter claiming that the "whole project has been shrouded in secrecy."

But a report published in HitFix said that Jason Momoa is "totally playing Aquaman in 'Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.'"

Drew McWeeny wrote for the said site: "While Warner Bros. hasn't made that announcement officially yet, HitFix can confirm that he will be playing the part, and that  Zack Snyder has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon."

The film is slated for release by May 6, 2016 and will star Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck as Superman and Batman, respectively.
