Colombia had an easy win against Greece, scoring three goals while their Mediterranean counterpart couldn't get even one in the net. Ivory Coast also won against Japan in their match with the score of 2-1.

Many critics speculate that Colombia and Ivory Coast will pass onto the next round of Brazil World Cup games if there are no surprises pulled by other members of Group C. Whoever wins this match will reserve a passage to the next round. The losing team will have to prove itself in the last match of Group C.

According to the AP Ivory Coast coach Sabri Lamouchi said, "It's looking a little bit like a final of the group (and) I'm pretty sure the winner will be qualified for the next phase."

Colombia and Ivory Coast present similar stats on paper so many are expecting a good game, one that may or may not end in a draw.

These two underachieving countries face a good chance to advance beyond the Group C playoffs. If Ivory Coast emerges as the victor, it would the country's first time advancing into the next round, having failed to get out of a group of death back in 2010 South Africa World Cup.

Colombia has only once advanced out of its four World Cup appearances back in 1990. While the expectation for the country was low, with the victorious win over Greece, the team gained back some confidence to play to their best.
