NU'EST announced that they would be releasing their first studio album titled "NU'EST The First Album Re-Birth" on July 9.

The idol group revealed a teaser image on their official Twitter account. The members are seen wearing all white with mirrored masks in the mysterious picture.

The K-pop group reportedly plans to reveal a new concept with their first album, which is being released 2 years after their debut. As of 2014, all five members of the group are now of legal age, which prompted the launch of this "new and improved" theme the band is going for.

NU'EST previously revealed a record of the 14 days they worked in order to meet the goals they set for themselves between June 2 and 15.

The boy band initially had trouble making an impact on music charts when they debuted back in 2012, along with rookie bands B.A.P and EXO-K, both of which shot to instant popularity.

When the group made their comeback in 2013 with their second mini-album titled "Hello," they had noticeably gone from dance-pop, a genre that is much too common in K-pop, to something slower and refreshingly different, according to Pop Dust.

Their title track titled "Hello" is a midtempo acoustic ballad, which changed the future of NU'EST, setting their music apart from the generic K-pop tunes that most fans are familiar with.

NU'EST, which stands for New Established Style and Tempo, consists of members JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun and Ren. The group is signed under Pledis Entertainment.

The members made their way into the Korean entertainment industry little by little. All five members were backup dancers for AS Blue's "Wonder Boy" music video, even participating on stage with them.

Despite perceptions that NU'EST didn't make a strong debut, the group had gone on to win various awards in Korea and internationally.

The group won the "Best Male Rookie" award for the Korean Updates Awards ceremony as well as the "Super Rookie Idol" award at the Arirang's Simply K-Pop Awards ceremony.

NU'EST won the "Top New Artist" award at the K-POP Lovers! Awards ceremony in 2012 and was nominated for the "Rookie of the Year-Male Group" award at the Soompi France Awards ceremony.
