Payback Time For Serena Williams: Maria Sharapova Keeps Boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov Close And Avoids Old Feud At Wimbledon 2014

Last year, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova took over the headlines with their feud. Some speculated that Maria Sharapova dating Grigor Dimitrov, who was Serena William's ex-boyfriend, had to do with the intense feuding that happened in the beginning of 2013 Wimbledon. This year, Serena Williams looks to payback while keeping her rivalry with Maria Sharapova at bay.

Serena Williams, the five-time Wimbledon winner, most recently in 2012, kept her head down and tried to tone down her rivalry with Maria Sharapova.

She told the Guardian, "I don't dwell on what happened last year. Every experience is different. There's a reason that happened last year. You move on. I moved on."

It's been hard to keep her head in the game when you are being snubbed by the officials though! Serena Williams has passed over for the honor of opening the women's tournament on Center Court. She is trying to shake it off and focus her energy on what matters - the game.

"This year I'm confident," she said. "I know what I'm doing. I've got it in my mind. I visualise it - all positive thoughts."

Meanwhile the 2004 Wimbledon winner Maria Sharapova has been deflecting Serena Williams' subtle taunts and chose to focus on her tennis, her boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov - and her candy shop, Sugarpova:

Maria Sharapova's twitter has been full of Sugarpova updates and retweets. She has had some backlash about sending the wrong health message to kids. To that, she responded:

"I know all about living a healthy lifestyle, what's right and what's not. But everybody loves sweets, including myself. That passion for candy, that little treat at the end of the day, has always been part of my life."

Grigor Dimitrov has been recently in the news too, but not for being the cause of Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams' feud, but something more related to his career. Not only is the 23-year-old is the youngest in the top 20 best male tennis players, but he won the Queens' Club Aegon Championship, which is considered to be the precursor championship to Wimbledon.

Let me know in the comments below which of these three players will perform the best in Wimbledon 2014!
