Taeyang's 'Eyes, Nose, Lips' MV Is On The 'Rise' - 10 Million YouTube Views And Counting

Big Bang member Taeyang is still going strong with his latest title track, "Eyes, Nose, Lips."

The soulful idol singer released his long-awaited second studio album, Rise, on June 2 with the music video for the lead single "Eyes, Nose Lips" being revealed on the same day.

Now, less than a month later, the MV has surpassed ten million views on YouTube. The video passed the mark on June 29 and is still on the 'Rise.'

"Eyes, Nose, Lips" struck a chord among fans who praised the simplicity of the video that draws the focus to Taeyang's beautiful voice and conviction when singing.

Additionally, "Eyes, Nose, Lips" has received nearly 200,000 likes on YouTube.

Taeyang's original is not the only version of the hit single that has received attention online. Cover versions by his label-mates Akdong Musician and Epik High frontman Tablo have also been praised for their different approaches and execution. The music videos for the updates also keep true to the nature of the original and are apply simplistic filming techniques with a spotlight offering most of the visual drama.

Taeyang's latest album has remained atop music charts since its release a few weeks ago. On the first day of release, Rise achieved the coveted 'all kill' on the Korean music charts, meaning it hit #1 on all of them. The album also landed in the top spot on iTunes album charts in ten different countries and the R&B/Soul albums charts in nineteen countries including the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.

In addition to the international success of the album and lead single, "Eyes, Nose, Lips" also earned Taeyang a whopping six trophies for performances on various Korean music programs.

Taeyang is currently touring South Korea for a variety of fan meetings around the country.
