Maria Sharapova Boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov Takes Romantic Russian Holiday: Couple Unwinds Together After Wimbledon 2014 and Sugarpova Candy Pop Up Shop

Maria Sharapova, the reigning Roland Garros champion, only got up to the 4th round at Wimbledon 2014, but her boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov fared much better! Like a supportive girlfriend, Maria Sharapova watched Grigor Dimitrov lose against Novak Djokovic at the Wimbledon men's semifinals. Now with the tournament all wrapped up and Sugarpova candy pop up store all shuttered, they decided to go on a romantic getaway to Russia, Maria's home country, to unwind from Wimbledon.

Grigor has been telling the press that he wanted to dance with Maria at the Wimbledon's Champion's Ball, but that won't be happening this year. So instead, the couple has decided to take some time off from all this tennis madness and take a romantic Russian holiday.

Grigor Dimitrov, often called "Baby Fed" for having a similar playing style as the all-time champion Roger Federer, Instagrammed himself having a ball in Russia, the photo possibly taken by his girlfriend Maria Sharapova.

He captioned the picture, "Signing the wall at the Russian restaurant:) #GD".

While most tennis starts prefer to keep their private lives on the down low when they are competing, that has not been the case for these super stars. Maria Sharapova has been seen in the stands frequently watching her boyfriend's game in Wimbledon 2014. Grigor Dimitrov, on the other hand, has been putting in some quality time at her candy store, Sugarpova. A social media fiend that he is, Grigor often posted pictures of himself with many Sugarpova hashtags.

He captioned this picture with, "Me and boy Chris shutting down Surgapova shop! #ibettergetdiscount #PovaPopUp".

While Maria Sharapova did not live up to the expectations, she has been putting all the bad PR away, replacing the news with Sugarpova promotions. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov has earned some of street cred amongst the British crowds. According to the Guardian, the British fans did not mind that much that he ended Andy Murray's run in this year's Wimbledon. They were yelling things like "Come on Grigsy," and "Come on Greg" to egg on the Aegon 2014 Championship winner.

With this trip to Russia, Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov will emerge fresh and ready to face the US Open in late August! Let's wait and see what they'll have in store for the tennis fans
