2NE1's Park Bom Set To Appear On Japanese Music Show After 'Roommate' Indefinite Hiatus

After shying away from the public and leaving "Roommate" on an indefinite hiatus, Park Bom of 2NE1 will be appearing on her first music show since her drug scandal controversy.

According to KoreaBoo, Park Bom will appear alongside the other ladies of 2NE1 on the NHK music talk show program "Music Japan" on the July 28 episode. This is just coming off of the group's Japanese leg of their "All or Nothing" world tour, which dazzled fans in Yokohama and Kobe.

Recently, it's been confirmed that Park Bom will take an "indefinite hiatus" on the reality series "Roommate," as the filmed footage prior to the controversy has nearly run out.

"It seems the upcoming July 27th broadcast will be Park Bom's final [appearance on 'Roommate']," said producer Baek Jung Ryul to TV Report. "She hasn't been attending filming so there is no footage of her. Realistically speaking, it is as if she's left [the show]. We haven't made any plans for Park Bom's possible following appearances. Nothing has been discussed. We also edited out a lot of the footage of Park Bom due to the controversy."

"It's true Bom hasn't been participating in the filming since the 11th," added producer Park Sang Hyuk. "Due to this, she won't be in the broadcasts starting next week. She couldn't film because of schedules, so we can't ultimately label this as her leaving. We have footage that has been recorded before, so Bom will be appearing in a portion of this week's episode."

It is anticipated that Park Bom will next be seen with 2NE1 in Korea at the "AIA Real Life: NOW Festival 2014" on August 15 and August 16.

"I guess the whole world knows something Korea doesn't," commented James Young. "Don't trust libelous, fallacious tabloids and the haters that want you destroyed regardless of what you do."
