Since winning the Open Championship, Rory McIlroy has been trying to fix a sticky situation with his ladies Nadia Forde and Sasha Gale. It’s not easy being a popular 25-year-old guy! To repair his growing image of being a heartbreaker, Rory McIlroy personally called model Nadia Forde to apologize after his relationship with Sasha Gale went viral.

Rory McIlory and his new girlfriend Sasha Gale was photographed leaving his Open Championship victory party this past week. Then they were caught again having a lengthy lunch at Belfast’s fancy Lisburn R.

A source close to Nadia Forde told the Irish Independent, "Rory apologised to her and seemed upset that he had caused her needless embarrassment. From what I gather he also said there was nothing going on with this Sasha girl - it was just lunch."

But guys does not just have one-on-one lunches with girls that he left his celebration party with. Is the Irish golfer trying to pursue two ladies at once?

The 25-year-old model is not playing any of his girlfriend games though. The source added that "Nadia stressed to him that they are just friends now so she has no issue with any girl he dates and said he doesn't need to give her any explanation.”

Seeing that Rory McIlroy called off his engagement to Caroline Wozniacki right after the wedding invitations were sent off, Nadia may be taking the right approach to the relationship game with the Irish golfer.

"Nadia feels if they are going to be friends then there has to be respect. When she had to walk through the airport last week with snappers [photographers] shouting at her and asking how she felt about Sasha and whether or not she had anything to say to the girl, she was very upset at being caught off-guard.”

The 25-year-old golfer has been trying to do some damage control of his relationship status as he is coming off the high of winning the Open Championship this past week.
