One of the most controversial Korean artists is making a comeback, and Korean fans are having many mixed reactions to it.

MC Mong, known as a rapper and variety show star, is making his comeback after a scandal revolving around delaying his mandatory military enlistment.  The rapper is coming back with "Did You Miss Me?" from his album "Miss Me Or Diss Me," and there are high expectations for the long-awaited comeback. However, with the expectations there is also the resurgence of negativity towards the artist.

In September 2010, MC Mong, whose real name is Shin Dong Hyun, came under investigation for attempting to dodge the mandatory Korean male military draft. The allegations surrounded MC Mong having multiple teeth removed for health reason; multiple teeth removals allow exemption from Korean military service. In 2011, MC Mong was cleared of draft dodging charges in relation to the teeth pulling, but received sentencing for deliberate attempts at delaying his enlistment date. The rapper was also banned from several Korean broadcast networks, including KBS and MBC.

The title of MC Mong's album "Miss Me Or Diss Me" and the questioning title song, "Did You Miss Me?" have come under fire by netizens for being provocative. 

MC Mong's company, Wellmade Yedang, issued a statement regarding the accusations.

"The album title actually connotes the deep yearning through personal questions about missing somebody and having feelings. It doesn't have a provocative tone as some have interpreted it to be; rather if you listen to the music you will understand that it expresses a strong feeling of missing one's beloved, missing and hating them after saying farewell."

"Miss Me Or Diss Me" will be released on November 3. Numerous artists will feature on the album, including SISTAR's Hyolyn, Ailee, Huh Gak, Baek Ji Young, Lyn, LeeSsang's Gary, Bumkey, Girls' Day Minah and several more.

It is currently unclear whether MC Mong will appear on KBC or MBC music shows to promote the song.
