Kris (Wu Yi Fan) will be releasing several upcoming songs in the near future.

The former EXO member will be lending his voice the soundtrack of Somewhere Only We Know, a film that he is appearing in.

Kris will also be releasing an unrelated song on his birthday, November 6, which will be live streamed on a Chinese website. The website has a countdown leading to the release, as well as a video. The video includes images of Kris during his time as a member of EXO-M and EXO.

Kris is appearing in Somewhere Only We Know, a romantic drama directed by Xu Jinglei. Starring alongside Kris in the film will be other popular Chinese entertainers Wang Li Kun, Zhang Chao, and Re Yizha.

The song, called "There Is A Place," is not only sung by Kris but the singer also wrote the lyrics of the song.

This will be the second time that Kris sings for a soundtrack. He also sang a song for the soundtrack of Tiny Times 3, "Time Boils The Rain."

As a member of EXO, Kris held the role of rapper, but his solo songs in China have been well-received.

Kris left EXO in May 2014, when he filed a lawsuit against EXO's entertainment agency, SM Entertainment. Kris used the same lawyer as Han Geng, a former member of Super Junior, who also sued SM Entertainment.

Following Kris's departure, Luhan, another Chinese member of EXO, also filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment and returned to China. Luhan is currently in the midst of promoting the film, Back To 20's.

In October, it was revealed that, following his role in Somewhere Only We Know, Kris will have a supporting role in Feng Xiaogang's upcoming film, Lao Pao Er.
