There is no denying that the recent filming of Music Bank in Mexico was a huge success.

KBS revealed that approximately 12,000 fans flocked to the Arena Ciudad in Mexico City on October 31 for the taping of a special episode of the Korean music performance program Music Bank.

However, as fan-shared videos posted to YouTube have revealed, filming needed to be temporarily halted as the show's producers warned the audience members to refrain from throwing their undergarments on the stage as it was interfering with their camera shots.

The production team reportedly interrupted EXO-K's performance of "Growl" to issue the warning to fans. "Please calm down and refrain from throwing your underwear on stage," the Music Bank producers are said to have urged the fans when the number of panties strewn about the stage became noticeable on screen.

Fan accounts reveal that EXO-K began their performance of "Growl" over again after the message.

In addition to EXO-K, the members of B.A.P were said to have had numerous pairs of panties thrown on stage during their performance of "One Shot."

In a statement revealed by the show's production team, the B.A.P and EXO members were mostly thrilled with the response they got from their Mexican fans. "Although it was embarrassing the moment underwear began flying on stage, it was great to see the audience in Mexico so passionate," the groups were quoted as saying after the show.

In addition to EXO and B.A.P, INFINITE, BEAST, Ailee, Girl's Day, and BTS performed for Music Bank in Mexico.

Although not in attendance, just a day later Super Junior members Eunhyuk and Kangin talked about similar panty-throwing experiences with fans in Europe on MBC's talk show Quiz to Change the World.

"They will take off their undergarments and throw them on stage," Eunhyuk explained of the cultural differences between European and Korean fans.

"Then everyone will gather in that area," joked his band mate Kangin.

KBS's Music Bank in Mexico special will air later this month.
