It's official! Britney Spears is dating producer Charlie Ebersol.

The "Womanizer" songstress confirmed the romance news in an interview with Extra while celebrating "Britney Day" in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

"Yes, there is a special someone," Spears told the news outlet's special correspondent Pauly D during the Vegas event.

When pressed to give more information about her relationship, Spears added, "It's very new."

Earlier this week, a source told E! News that Ebersol, 31, and Spears, 32, were enjoying each other's company.

"He is the sweetest guy ever and they are very much enjoying getting to know one another," said the insider. "They are both very happy and having fun. It's just the beginning so no idea if it will become serious but right now they are having a lot of fun together."

Ebersol is a producer, whose projects include the upcoming "Space Jam 2" starring LeBron James and a reality series called "The Moment" which helped men and women get a second chance at pursuing their career dream.

Charlie, the son of SNL executive producer Dick Ebersol, was inspired to create "The Moment" after he and his father were injured in a plane crash that also took the life of his younger brother Teddy.

In addition to creating inspiring television work, Ebersol is an avid athlete. By the looks of his Twitter account, it appears that he is good friends with cyclist Lance Armstrong. In fact, he successfully completed Lance Armstrong's 70 Second Challenge, running a quarter-mile in an impressive 62 seconds.

Perhaps his fondness for sports are what brought he and former girlfriend Maria Sharapova together. Ebersol reportedly dated the tennis star around 2008.

Ebersol has also been linked to actress Sophia Bush.

As for Britney, she broke up with her ex David Lucado earlier this year after learning that he had cheated on her.
