NBA Trade Rumors: Gerald Green To Chicago Bulls? Phoenix Suns Resurgent Star Triggers Speculation From Windy City Fans! Former Dunk Champ The Last Piece Of Championship Puzzle?

The NBA trade rumors remain on the speculation level at this point, but some of them are gaining ground, even at the fan base level. The Gerald Green to Chicago trade talk was seen merely as a good fit, but there are continued rumblings.

The odds for Chicago to take the Eastern Conference went in their favor as the Cleveland Cavaliers came out struggling off the gate. While the Cavs are on a winning streak, the Bulls are seen as the more consistent team primarily because of their defense. Adding Gerald Green who is a scoring spark and starting to gain respect as a shooter would make their championship puzzle complete.

Green was projected as the one trade target that the Bulls should pursue. From Bleacher Report:

"Chicago's three-point shooting has also tapered off after a blistering beginning. It still ranks 12th in long-range efficiency, but it could use another catch-and-shoot weapon capable of playing defense without sending Thibodeau into fits of facial rage that were once reserved for Nate Robinson.

Green is shooting 37.3 percent from deep overall, including 38.2 percent on spot-up opportunities. He's also in the last year of an incredibly reasonable deal. With so much already invested in perimeter firepower-and Goran Dragic approaching free agency-the Phoenix Suns might be inclined to move him rather than pay him."

As stated, Phoenix also has an interest in trading Green. They have a three point guard rotation that is the anchor of their offense. They might trade Green for more size and other pieces. Thus the proposition:

"Cameron Bairstow, Nazr Mohammed,Tony Snell and Sacramento's top-10-protected first-round draft pick in 2015 for Gerald Green."

The Bulls need to win now. If Cleveland picks up on the chemistry, they would be very difficult to defeat. This is the best chance for them to contend whether Derrick Rose is healthy or not.
