EXID's Hani Wishes To Pursue Career In Therapy After Her Contract Ends

With all the success EXID has been seeing as of late, it is hard to imagine them slowing down their activities anytime soon, but member Hani already has plans after her idol life, revealing that she wants to pursue psychotherapy when her contract expires.

Hani and fellow member Solji appeared as guests in Real 15 where host and former H.O.T. member Moon Hee Jun popped the question on whether Hani will continue her idol career after her contract expires, to which she replied that she would rather focus on studying to become a psychotheraphist, according to Koreaboo. A psychotherapist cares for the mental and emotional health of patients, usually by talking with them and helping them work out their issues.

The question was quite an emotional one for Hani as she explained tearfully that idol life is hard. Hani has been training as an idol since she was 18 and could not help but compete with friends. She has also been hounded recently by rumors that sought to tarnish her idol image.
Still those plans are still in the far off into the future as EXID has been ramping up their group activities after their "Up & Down" track turned viral in large part due to Hani. The idol's performance of the song - which was released in 2014 - attracted so much attention that it revived interest in the single, leading to a second round of promotions in 2015, music show wins and skyrocketing popularity for the group and its members.

EXID had planned to release new music in March but this was pushed back to mid-April due to their long list of commitments piled on top of preparations for their comeback song.
