The clock is ticking for Kim Hyun Joong to enlist in the South Korean army, but the Hallyu star postponed his enlistment date once again.

Sources close to Kim, a famous Korean singer-actor and leader of K-pop idol group SS501, confirmed that the star received official postponement despite earlier receiving a March 31 enlistment notice.

Kim has to enlist in the Korean military in 2015 due to mandatory age requirements in South Korea. However, due to a variety of personal reasons, including the pregnancy of Kim's ex-girlfriend and a variety of marriage rumors, Kim sought postponement for the second time.

KeyEast, Kim's representative agency in South Korea, confirmed the postponement on March 23, in a report by Korean outlet Newsen.

"Kim Hyun Joong′s enlistement has been postponed," said the agency representative. "We cannot reveal about the reason of the postponement and future schedules."

In early March, KeyEast announced that Kim was looking to postpone his enlistment draft date once again, after receiving the March notice.

At that time, the agency confirmed that Kim's request for postponement was "due to his personal circumstances."

Kim had previously received a notice to report to the Korean military in October 2014, but received postponement due to his concert tour.

In 2014, Kim Hyun Joong was taken to court by his ex-girlfriend, known to the media by her surname Choi, based on assault charges. Although the charges were dropped after Kim publicly apologized, Kim was fined by the Seoul prosecutor for assault.

The latest news about the couple's personal issues was a series of text messages made public revealing the duo's conversations, and the fact that there are issues revolving the relationship between Kim, Choi, and their families. KeyEast responded with an official statement saying that Kim would like to meet with Choi to discuss the future of the child, while Choi confirmed that she has no plans to marry Kim.

In 2015, the couple made headlines after it was revealed that Kim's former girlfriend was pregnant with his child. Both sides confirmed that they were aware of the pregnancy, but denied rumors of immediate marriage between the two.
