Yedang Entertainment Considers Legal Action If Recent EXID Leak Affects Group's Comeback Success

EXID comeback leakers, beware. Yedang Entertainment has warned that it could take legal action against those responsible for the unauthorized release of information about the fast-rising girl group's new album, reports Koreaboo.

The decision to pursue legal action will depend on whether the leaked material will "harm" EXID's impending comeback next week.

The agency recounts that on Friday, April 3, the album cover and track list for EXID's 2nd mini-album AH YEAH were leaked as it was in transit abroad for packaging.

"Should the leaked material harm EXID from a successful comeback, we will take legal action and report this to the cyber crime lab," the agency reportedly said.

AH YEAH will be released on April 13 at 12PM KST, according to the agency.

Yedang Entertainment's reaction to the leak is understandable given the importance of EXID's comeback. The girl group has found surprising success and growing popularity after their song "Up & Down" went viral last year, topping music charts.

The question now is whether the group can replicate the success of "Up & Down" as well as convince doubters who might see them as a one-hit wonder.

EXID members have also been exerting a lot of effort for their comeback, like Solji creating an Instagram account to keep in touch with fans and Hani taking on a more visible role in TV as a host for the new fashion program, A Style For You.

EXID will have tough competition this month with massively popular boy group EXO and top girl group miss A promoting at the same time, and rookie groups such B1A4 little sister group Oh My Girl and After School little brother group Seventeen reportedly debuting.
