Former YG Entertainment trainee Kim Eun Bi has been confirmed to be practicing with Dorothy Company, the agency of singer Shin Seung Hoon, reports Allkpop.

While still not an official trainee under Dorothy Company, Kim Eun Bi has spent the last several months honing her idol skills at the agency.

"Though it's true that Kim Eun Bi has been practicing with the company for the past 3-4 months, she has not officially signed with us as a trainee," a representative for Dorothy Company explained.

The representative explained that Shin Seung Hoon is quite selective when it comes to trainees, so it seems Kim Eun Bi's practices with the company are meant to evaluate her potential as an official trainee.

The lengthy evaluation period comes amid previous reports that Kim Eun Bi withdrew from YG Entertainment in 2014 as a trainee and possible member of its new girl group due to health reasons. She was reported to have suffered from a herniated disc.

"It is regrettable that someone who had practiced hard and long to realize her dream had to leave. I think she had decided that promotional activities would be too stressful for her health conditions," a YG representative had announced in October 2014.

YG Entertainment has still not debuted a new girl group, which will likely consist four or five members.

"We're putting a lot of an effort into this new girl group," said YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk in an interview last May. "Though there were 10 candidates to start with, there are less than five now. We will be making a group that excels in every aspect."
