SPICA's Yang Ji Won was involved in a minor car accident on July 2 at 11PM KST.

According to OSEN, the girl group member was returning home after practicing with the rest of SPICA for their comeback. Ji Won's car slid into two taxis in the lane next to her, causing a three car rear-end collision.

The Gangnam Police Station reported that she crashed into the two taxis at Seongsu Bridge in Apgujeong. Although police originally suspected that she was drunk, the girl group member was revealed to have fallen asleep at the wheel.

"Ji Won is not greatly injured and was discharged after receiving treatment for her finger," SPICA's agency B2M Entertainment explained. Three others involved in the accident were also injured.

Netizens responded with mixed feelings to Ji Won's accident:

'The scary thing about drowsy driving is that you don't realize that you're dozing off until it's too late," wrote one person.

"Driving while sleepy or under the influence affects other people, not just yourself," said another. "[She] should be more careful, it could've been a big accident."

Luckily, though Ji Won and those in the taxis were not seriously hurt and appeared to only sustain minor injuries.
