‘Attack On Titan’ Season 2 Release Date Set In 2016? Will It Cover 'Clash Of Titans' Arc?

Fans have long been waiting for the "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date and the only thing for sure is it will come out in 2016.

According to When-Will.net, "Attack on Titan" season 2 is scheduled to come out next year but there is no definite timeframe or month for its release.

In another report by Crunchy Roll, "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date is said to probably be next year as well.

Fans are counting a lot on the anime series as many weren't quite pleased with the live-action movie. Manga creator Hajime Isayama responed to these criticisms constructively and he said that they will definitely improve the series from there. Via Yahoo Japan as translated by Kotaku:

"As for the impressions and reactions of those who were excited about the movie, I want to take in the favorable opinions and also the indignant ones, if only to understand them," Isayama said.

Meanwhile, the anime will only get better as the humans get to know more about their enemies, the Titans as stated in our previous report.

Season 2 is set to cover the fifth story arc and here is a brief synopsis of the events happening on this arc.

"The fifth story arc of the 'Attack on Titan,' the 'Clash of Titans' arc encompasses the Titans appearance inside the wall, which forced 104th Trainees Squad to a brutal battle against those mysterious Titans. Unknown to them, those Titans are actually members from their group. Eren, shocked, battles them in a decisive battle."

Meanwhile, here's what the sixth story arc will be about and will probably cover season 3.

"The sixth story arc of the 'Attack on Titan' series, 'The Uprising' arc follows the event of the fifth arc, wherein the situation inside Wall Rose becomes critical after the killing of Pastor Nick and the kidnapping of Eren and Historia. After finding out about the king's actions that would put humanity in jeopardy, Erwin begins his plan as he and his group try to execute a coup d'etat against the government."
