Kendall Jenner seemed to be following into Gigi Hadid's footsteps as it was announced on Tuesday that she will also be walking the Victoria's secret runway just like Joe Jonas' girlfriend. Were the best friends becoming rivals?

In a report on E! Online, it was mentioned that the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star got the news just in time for her birthday.

The good news came just days after it was also announced that her best friend and Joe Jonas' girlfriend also scored a deal with the lingerie company. As told by Vanity Fair, the company even shared on Instagram a clip of Hadid's go-see where she was emotional when she got into the show.

"Couldn't keep back my tears!!!!" Hadid posted on Instagram. "Anyone that grew up with me knows that getting this show has been a dream of mine forever!"

Despite scoring the same Victoria's Secret deal after numerous times they've shared a magazine page or catwalk in the past, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have apparently not turned into rivals and were actually very happy to go on the journey together.

"The best birthday present EVER!" Jenner said on a cartoon picture of her with Hadid. "Always been one of my biggest dreams to be on this catwalk."

"Oh and I get to do it with my best friend," she added.

Hadid has also expressed in the past that she won't ever compete with Jenner as she valued their friendship more than her career.

"Not really, I don't really feel competition like that," Gigi Hadid explained to Harper's Bazaar when asked if she was competing with her model friends prior to getting the same Victoria's secret deal.  "So literally, if they want Kendall [Jenner], they're not going to want someone who looks like me. It's completely different. I think friendships are a lot more valuable than one job. If you're going to let it ruin that, then that's stupid."
