With a number of spin-off announcements but no major franchise news for Pokemon, December's CoroCoro leaks might be indicate otherwise.

On Saturday, Serebii noted a preview for next month's CoroCoro, which "has a note stating that big Pokemon news for 2016 will be revealed in the issue."

"Typically in the issues released in December, the first details of the next movie are revealed, but the issue doesn't clarify if this is what it is referring to," write the website. "The magazine is due for release on Dec. 15."

Since much of the main franchise has been devoted to the growing intrigue around the Zygarde Formes, more information on the "XY & Z" anime or the upcoming movie would reveal more on the direction of future games.

With its many Formes, there is also a rising theory that any sequel to "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y"-presumably named "Pokemon Z"-will feature it as a starter Pokemon.

"It is very common for legendary Pokémon to receive new Formes, but this time we have two weaker ones in addition to one stronger one," conjured PokeJungle. "This is highly unusual and no doubt plays a large role in the upcoming installment finishing Generation VI on the Nintendo 3DS."

On Tuesday, various Pokemon portals began to upload the latest CoroCoro leaks. This month, the majority of the leaks focus on Legendargy Pokemon like shiny Yveltal and shiny Xerneas. But if you're careful, you'll notice a new Zygarde core that has a blue abdomen instead of the red abdomen.

"I think there might be even more, at least five," commented reddit user XeverstonedX. "Look at this. The complete Zygarde is holding five 'cores' in its chest."
