YG Entertainment: 'No Plans' For Park Bom Comeback

2NE1 are back! Well, maybe not quite.

The K-pop girl group made a surprise appearance on stage at the Mnet Asian Music Awards on Wednesday night in Hong Kong and performed two songs in support of group leader CL who recently launched herself into the U.S. music industry with a new solo single "Hello Bitches."

Fans in the audience were audibly excited when Park Bom emerged from below the stage following fellow 2NE1 members Dara and Minzy.

Bom has been absent from the public eye for over a year following a drug scandal in 2014 and, prior to the official announcement of CL's release, there was heavy speculation that a full 2NE1 comeback was in the works at YG Entertainment.

Despite the group's celebrated return to the stage this week, the record label doesn't think it's a good idea for fans to get their hopes up just yet.

"There are still no plans for a Park Bom comeback," a YG insider told MyDaily News. "Her appearance at MAMA was a surprise gift for fans." The source also said no new music is planned for the group at the moment while focus is on CL's upcoming English language EP, Lifted.
