Lyn Takes To Twitter To Vent About Onslaught Of Abusive Comments She Received After Revealing Her New Boyfriend Is MC The Max's Lee Soo

On Monday, just three days after K-pop star Lyn's admitted she was dating MC The Max's Lee Soo, the singer took to Twitter to vent about the flood of negative comments she had received about her new boyfriend.

"Since I have a job where I'm in front of the public, it's correct that I should be careful about everything," Lyn wrote. "But since love is an emotion that doesn't bend easily to logic, I followed my heart instead of my brain."

"The prickly words are, I feel, nothing but good thoughts looking out for me and my friend. I think of the painful comments as nothing more than words said by my friends or my parents."

Lyn's fans' negative reaction is most likely related to former allegations that Lee Soo's brought a 16-year-old prostitute back to his Jong Roh Gu apartment in 2009.

The singer stopped short of asking for her fans to forgive her boyfriend, instead asking them to simply accept her decision to be with hime.

"I realize that forgiveness and blessing is a big thing to ask," Lyn said. "Just watch over us. I apologize and thanks again."

Lyn and Lee Soo made Friday's announcement that they were dating through their record label Good Entertainment.

"Lyn and MC the Max's Lee Soo were good friends for over 10 years," a Good Entertainment representative told the website allkpop. "They started dating after they started to talk about their music."

The label rep implored fans to support the new couple.

"Please show a lot of warm interest and support for Lyn and Lee Soo, who have grown from long-time friends and colleagues to something even closer now," the Good Entertainment representative said.

On Monday, Lyn released the first single "Glass Heart" off of her eighth album of the same name. The track features Yong Jun Hyung of B2ST.

The K-pop star helped write the song's lyrics.

The album "Glass Heart" also includes the previously released single "Tonight (feat. Baechigi)" and the song "Only Treated You So Well."

On April 13, as Lyn watched Psy's Happening at home while cooking, the K-pop icon gushed on Twitter about how proud the parents of Psy's guests G-Dragon and CL from 2NE1 must be.

"Just how proud must G-Dragon and CL's parents be of them," Lyn wrote. "They're really doing so well effortlessly/naturally. Now cooking spinach bean paste soup (why am I cooking this? hehe). It's making a Quack Quack sound- in the midst of watching PSY's concert on TV."
