KBS Rejects Psy's 'Gentleman' MV Once Again

KBS rejected Psy's "Gentleman" music video once again after a re-review.

With other two major networks, MBC and SBS, giving it a PG-13 rating upon review, the controversial, countercurrent decision by KBS is expected to cause a bit of blacklash.

On May 2, KBS released a statement regarding the re-review of Psy's music video. "By unanimous decision, we deemed that Psy's music video is inappropriate for public viewing due to its public property damage footages." Shockingly, they kept to their word and maintained their original position from the first review that the kicking of plastic 'No Parking' sign is somehow an outrageous misdemeanor that just cannot go on air.

This time around, all seven committee members attended the review meeting instead of three like the first session.

An associate commented, "The review committee may take a third look at the music video if the production company edits out the problematic footages and resubmits it."

With the public's interest keen on the subject due to the controversy initially created by KBS' unreasonable cause for rejection followed by revelations that only three of seven committee members were present at the first review meeting, KBS will not exactly get a pat on the back for standing up for the good of the public or whatever it is trying to achieve.
