Hwang Chi Yeol is quickly gaining popularity in China.

The South Korean singer achieved a major milestone on Chinese social media platform Weibo after singing a popular K-pop song on a recent TV singing competition in China.

Hwang Chi Yeol appeared on Hunan TV's I Am A Singer season four last week with a Mandarin arrangement of Big Bang's smash summer hit "Bang Bang Bang." Soon after, the singer surpassed three million followers on Weibo.

In 2015, Hwang Chi Yeol released a collaboration single with leeSA titled "Holding The End of This Night" and the song "Pencil" for the SBS drama Mrs. Cop.
