Was T-ARA Hyomin Lying? Netizens Uncover The Real Deal Behind School Transfer

It looks like the ladies of T-ARA cannot shake their bullying rumors.

Last year it was revealed that T-ARA member Hyomin had bullying tendencies in her past. The accusations claimed that she was expelled from school for assaulting another student and the rumors earned her a "school gangster" reputation.

On May 6, while appearing on the talk show Beatles Code 2 with her sub-unit group T-ARA N4, Hyomin explained that the allegations were false.

She insisted her 'wild' school days were nothing like the extent of the rumors and that while she and her friends did 'party' a lot, they "never did extremely bad things like in the rumors."

She then gave a much different explanation for her school transfer saying that her mother insisted she do so. Hyomin explained, "My mom had a lot of passion about my education and she just wanted me to go to a better school."

Hyomin probably thought that by revealing this information, it would finally settle the bullying matter once and for all, but she should have known better.

Those pesky netizens were quick to check the facts on this one, and, for now at least, it appears they have caught Hyomin in her own lie.

The following day more information was revealed online, suggesting that Hyomin's excuse might not be the whole truth.

Netizens discovered that in 2011 Hyomin's mother voted in Seoul and the law in Seoul states that students are not allowed to transfer schools within the same district without a special reason. Those sort of circumstances include things like expulsion for violence or committing another crime, or by the recommendation of the school.

This means, as the crafty internet users point out, there is no way Hyomin could have transferred schools merely because her mother wanted her to.  All that's certain from the facts and policy presented is that Hyomin indeed had a special reason for transferring, a reason she only knows.

So what does this mean for Hyomin and the continuing bullying scandals surrounding T-ARA?

The online response has been grim. Immediately after this information was released, negative comments started flooding in.

"I can't believe anything she says anymore," said one comment on Instiz. Another post read, "There really is no end to their lies."

Others have made the point that the T-ARA members should stay away from TV altogether, as each time they address their scandals and rumors, the backlash tends to intesify.

What could possibly be the real reason for Hyomin's transfer? How will Hyomin and T-ARA get out of this mess?

As there's always two sides to a story, KpopStarz is open to hear from T-ARA or their management on their thoughts on this issue.
