K-pop artist T-ara N4 met with American hip hop artist Chris Brown in Los Angeles on Sunday, amidst intense fan speculation that a collaboration could be in the works.

When the four members of T-ara N4 touched down at LAX, they were met by 300 screaming fans and 18 bodyguards Brown sent to escort them to their hotel, according to the website Allkpop.

Later that day, the girls visited the rapper at the set of his new music video.

"I've wanted to meet you," Brown gushed.

"Thank you for liking our music, inviting us to the United States and even sending out a limousine and bodyguards," one of the members of T-ara N4 answered.

The girls presented Brown with a ceramic pot as a token of thanks, according to Popdust.

The meeting was reportedly arranged by a teenager named Dani training to be in T-ara, who Brown has reportedly struck up a friendship with.

Not all K-pop fans were thrilled at the meeting of east meets west in light of T-ara's bullying scandal and Chris Brown's felony abuse charges from former girlfriend, pop superstar Rihanna.

"Arguably, the most hated celebrity in America with the most hated idol group in Korea," Veru164 commented on the Popdust website on Sunday.

"I cannot see good things happening from this."

K-pop fan Noseefood was equally disgusted.

"What a desperate move...to latch on to Dani's so called connection to hook up with a convicted felon," she wrote. "T-ara N4 already met Chris [Brown] and judging from the photos, it's surreal seeing timid Jiyeon shaking a full body tattooed Chris."

Tar-a N4, a sub-unit of K-pop girl group T-ara, were only in Los Angeles for a few days, with plans to return to South Korea on Thursday or Friday.

Yet band members Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon and Areum appear to be making the most of their time out west.

A photo circulated on Twitter Tuesday of the T-ara N4 reportedly in talks to create their own YouTube channel.

So even if a Chris Brown collaboration doesn't end up being anything more than fan speculation, it sounds like the U.S. trip was worth it for T-ara N4.

Imagine if they stayed through the week.
