Malicious or not, there was a Psy imposter at Cannes Film Festival.

To clarify the some media confusion as to whether the Psy look-alike at Cannes Film Festival was indeed the international star, YG Entertainment stated, "The real Psy flew straight from the United States to Singapore for his next schedule. He did not go to Cannes. He will be attending 'Social Star Awards' on May 23-25 in Singapore. He plans to visit Europe for a scheduled performance in Italy."

At Social Star Awards on May 24 and 25, Psy, Aerosmith, Cee Lo Green, Carly Rae Jepsen will be on stage to provide special performances for the award ceremony which will broadcast live worldwide via YouTube.

On May 26, Psy will put on a performance of "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman" in the final match of Coppa Italia between AS Roma and Lazio.

The 66th Cannes International Film Festival in France was taken aback by the showing of Psy look-alike. Some local news reports falsely announced the arrival of Psy at Cannes.
