GOT7 Wins Their Third Trophy for “Eclipse” on Inkigayo

GOT7, a seven-member Kpop boy group, brought home the bacon for the third time after their comeback this year with a new mini-album entitled "Spinning Top: Between Security & Insecurity."

On June 2, 2019, GOT7 performed on SBS' Inkigayo in South Korea with their title track "Eclipse", which is one of the songs included in their recent release on May 20 at 6 p.m. KST. The music video of this song has been topping worldwide trends, with popular hashtags such as #GOT7_ECLIPSE and #GOT7_SPINNINGTOP. Each member showed great talent, personality, and strong visual in the MV, leaving the audience in awe and ruining many bias lists today.

Based on the group's tracklist information, GOT7 member Defsoul (also known as JB) and J.Y. Park, the CEO of JYP Entertainment, helped each other out in creating the song "Eclipse." Also, JB, Jinyoung, and Bambam are given credits for taking part in composing the other tracks on the album, like "End," "Trust Me," "Page," and "Eclipse (inst)."

In the said show, the group has earned a total of 5002 points, marking their third victory. Second place goes to Davichi's "Unspoken Words" with 4926 points, and Lim Jae Hyun's "If There Was Practice In Love" was in third place with 4921 points.

Aside from the winners, this week's performers and their songs are Kim Jae Hwan - "Begin Again", AB6IX - "Breathe", Lovelyz - "Beautiful Days", Lee Hi - "No One", CLC - "Me", Cherry Bullet - "Really Really", Wiki Meki - "Picky Picky", The Boyz - "Bloom Bloom", and ONE - "Twilight". WINNER was supposed to appear in the show as well, but they had to call off as their member Kang Seung Yoon was hospitalized because of the symptoms of a herniated disk in his neck.

GOT7's first win with Eclipse was in M Countdown versus Winner's "Ah Yeah" on May 30. To express their happiness, GOT7 members and their fans made #ECLIPSE1stWin trend first all over the world, including countries like Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Brazil, Italy, and Iran. Meanwhile, their second win was in an unaired episode of KBS2's Music Bank.

And now that the latest tracklist of GOT7 is out, Aghases (GOT7's fans) are waiting for the group's new world tour this year called "Keep Spinning." It will begin on June 15 to 16, which will first take place in Seoul. Next are cities in North America all through June and July in Newark, Toronto, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Oakland, then to Mexico, Santiago, Sydney, Melbourne, and so much more.
