In the response to the reports about IU's October comeback, Kakao M commented, "It is true that IU is working on a new album, but the timing of the release has not been settled yet."

At her fan meeting over the weekend, IU announced her concert tour and that she is working on a new album. The fan meeting was held at Kyung Hee University's Grand Peace Palace, greeting a crowd of 6,000 fans for her Play, Pause and U event. The event was sold out and the venue was filled with fans who missed IU.

In last few days, one newspaper reported that "IU is making comeback in late October and her fans expect that the release date will be before her national concert that is starting from November."

On September 26, industry representatives reported that the album will be released this fall but it is not confirmed that the release date will be before the concert"

This upcoming release will be IU's first in a year since "BBIBBI" in October 2018 and she is a prospective singer in the field.

This year, IU concluded tvN drama, "Hotel del Luna" which earned many positive comments from reviewers and fans alike and has been diligently preparing her national concert that will be held in Incheon, Busan, Seoul starting from Gwangju in November
