With over two months, Kpop group SuperM was conquering the world today. These seven-piece band turned heads when it landed a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 this week. Their 1st Mini Album, driven almost entirely by album sales.

It's a remarkable achievement for the group, it was only released last August the collaboration between Korean label giant SM Entertainment and Capitol Music Group (and distributed by Caroline). For the first major attempt to push a K-pop act especially in the U.S. market, both big agencies pulled out all the winning marketing strategies from both sides of the Pacific, East-meets-West promotions and super-campaign of these so-called "Avengers of K-pop," which they put together established members from EXO, SHINEE, NCT 127 and WayV.

Among Kpop Fan's physical collectible of albums are really trending now a day in Korea, SM and Capitol bring eight different CD variations of cover for each of the seven members and with a group edition. Also, more than 60 different merchandise bundles were available through their official web stores.

The album was released on Oct. 4 and it was a huge success for SuperM, they celebrated it by hosting a week-long, wildly popular pop-up shop in Los Angeles during the street week, where the fans could purchase the CD and other personalize merchandise. The place was right next to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. in the same week, the group held an album signing at record stores in the Los Angeles area. To avoid much of a crowd, only one band member signed each customer's CD instead of each member sign a single disc.

On the other hand, SuperM's super fans showed incredibly sharp at boosting their band up to the charts. While these charts do only reflect the US,  Nielsen Music and Billboard's have their own systems in place against fans or labels supply chart performance.

In an interview with the Managing director of MIdia research Mark Mulligan shared, "SuperM fans bought the mini-album in numbers because it was their way of expressing their fandom and support of the band, Both K-pop and Japanese idol artists have been doing this kind of thing for years in their domestic markets, to such an extent that physical revenues are growing strongly in South Korea, driven by young K-pop fans."
