With recent news regarding BIGBANG's inclusion in Coachella's lineup, questions about their contract renewal surfaced. As of January 3, BIGBANG members Daesung, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and TOP have not yet renewed their existing contracts with YG Entertainment.

However, an official from YG stated that "negotiations are going well with the members, but I cannot disclose any information regarding the contract renewal yet."
