Fans have been worried about Seungyeon being depressed after the passing of her friend and former KARA groupmate Goo Hara. Before Seungyeon left for Japan, she was spotted at the airport crying. The singer has posted a message on Instagram today regarding the incident and the comments that followed after it. On January 7, Seungyeon said:

"I have a question and this goes out to everybody, not just the people on the Internet.

What if you lose someone important, someone close to you in your life? Aren't you allowed to grieve? Should you only cry at home? Should tears only come privately? No. When you're heart is breaking, you can't help it. If you think I'm unstable, it's fine, but please have manners. If you are sincerely worried about me, respect me. Even if you think I'm unstable or I'm going crazy or depressed, you should never forget to have manners. Be respectful.

Should I just stay still? Have you even ever lost someone precious and close to you? Do you know how it feels? You always say celebrities should not mind malicious comments, that we should get used to it, but do you sincerely worry about the celebrities?"
