First Generation Idol Kim Sang Hyuk Files for Divorce After One Year of Marriage
One year after their wedding, Click B's Kim Sang Hyuk and his wife Song Da Ye are now appealing for a separation.
The pair exchanged vows in 2019 and agreed after only one year on marriage to go on their separate ways. The news was confirmed by the first generation icon on April 7 through his company.
The agency issued its official statement to the public regarding the matter.

Firstly, we're sorry to greet with unfortunate news the many people who appreciate and admire Kim Sang Hyuk.
Kim Sang Hyuk has been unable to resolve the conflict with his spouse, and they proceeded through the legal process to file for divorce, after thorough consideration. They decided to go back and to help each other from afar.
Since both want the divorce to continue quickly and efficiently and without any complications, please bear in mind that sharing details about their personal life to the press is impossible. We urge you not to give in to baseless theories and false news."
Kim Sang Hyuk also shared the news on his personal Instagram account. He stated, "We encountered two people who lacked in many aspects and did their best together to survive together. We were meant to accept the weaknesses of each other, but I'm disappointed and sad we couldn't face the world with a bright smile."
He went on, "I guess all of this is my fault. I feel like I have lost quite a lot of opportunities to address her well enough, and my heart is heavy. I'm so sorry I got to share this tough news."
Kim Sang Hyuk revealed he would marry a non-celebrity six years younger than him in February of 2019. His KOENSTARS company announced, "On April 7, Kim Sang Hyuk will exchange vows with his non-celebrity partner, who is six years younger than him. The ceremony will be a private event attended only by friends and family members of the pair. JTBC speaker Jang Sung Kyu will lead the wedding ceremony, while the other members of the Click-B will sing 'Dreaming' for the nuptial track."
Kim Sang Hyuk also said, "Even though I have had many ups and downs [in my life], I have made a big decision. With my respectful and upright bride-to-be, I will live graciously." He continued, "I am the first member of our group to get married. Let's go, groupmates!"
Having debuted as a member of Click-B in 1999, Kim Sang Hyuk is recognized as a "first-generation artist." He is an active businessman and is currently a regular member of the panel on "I See Your Voice 6."
It was announced soon after that his bride-to-be was the former CEO of the ulzzang and online retail center, Song Da Ye. The two decided to get married on April 7, 2019, precisely one year before their divorce was confirmed.
