Following Lim Young Min's withdrawal from AB6IX, Brand New Music updates fans and the public regarding the changes to the planning and preparation for the group's comeback.

AAB6IX's return was initially scheduled for June 8 but was moved to June 29 after Lim Young Min's DUI scandal broke out on June 4.

The agency then announced that he would sit out AB6IX's activities until further notice and that the group will promote as a four-membered group. 

Then, on June 8, Brand New Music confirmed that Lim Young Min is leaving the band.

AB6IX's agency released an official statement later that same day, concerning the arrangements to edit and reallocate all the content, referring to the upcoming mini-album of the team, "VIVID." 

The statement reads:

"Hello, everyone. This is Brand New Music. 

We sought to produce a few updates about the second mini-album 'VIVID' to be released by AB6IX on June 29.

The album and all its material and production, which includes (physical album, virtual recording, music video, advertisement content, video composition, posters, marketing products, stage suits, etc.), was finished and was aimed to be launched today.

However, with the unfortunate circumstance only a few days before the comeback, we had an in-house discourse about how to modify the completed material and development cautiously.

It would have been wonderful if we could reconfigure it all entirely from beginning to end, but we are truthfully too short on time at this moment. It is accurate that trying to take care of anything and coping with it will be an incredibly large weight on both the organization and the members.

As a consequence, we would like to clarify to fans and ask for your understanding of the changes we are currently producing for the song and the changes we can't make. 

First out were the choreography and digital recording. Currently, after modifying the lyrics and reallocating portions among the four members, we have finished the re-recording of all six songs.

We just have left to re-mix and re-master. Such modified songs were sent to all music outlets and will be posted on the new launch date as expected. The physical CDs that were initially finished were also all removed and will be recreated with all these finished album tracks. 

Five people performed the title track and the B-side songs for choreography, and the members were entirely familiar with this. However, we have modified them to a four-person edition, and we are planning to present an even more flawless result with professionalism.

Second is the album's elements. As stated earlier, all of the album's materials were not only completely produced, but have even been processed in full.

We agreed, nevertheless, that redoing the images, album layout, printing, etc. will be too complicated and will be reorganized to the best of our ability, as our schedule allows.

We must wait for all the components needing reproduction, such as a photobook, CD, cover, poster, postcard, postcard, and AR card, to be created or substituted after eliminating all physical albums.

Thirdly is regarding the music video for the title sing 'THE ANSWER.' As the first music video preview has already been published, and it would be complicated to coordinate schedules for various partners, we have agreed that re-filming will be difficult.

Under these conditions, we expect to release an updated version, which will reduce Lim Young Min's camera time. We kindly request fans for their generous understanding.

Fourth, though still separate from the album, is about the fan kit for ABNEW fan club members. The fan kit and all its parts are now finished by 90 percent.

We have, however, agreed to re-design and re-print. We will start making another remark if we really need to make another official statement regarding the progress.

Then again, by erasing, re-filming, and re-editing, we intend to recreate both internally and externally videos and marketing materials linked with the album.

Finally, we sincerely apologize that unavoidably, there are spots where we need to ask for the understanding of the fans. Just as you understood and helped us, we intend to come back with good songs and materials.

Please, give AB6IX plenty of support and understanding in the long term as they start as four members.
