Like a good luck charm to its listeners around the world, WJSN's "As You Wish" becomes highly-streamed once more - marking its second New Year's Day at the top of the charts.

Originally released in 2019, "As You Wish" first topped several major Korean music charts - Bugs, Melon, and Genie, among them - on the morning of January 1, 2020. Now, on January 1, 2021, the same song from the same group sat at the top of the charts once more - marking the second consecutive year in which the WJSN made the achievement.

Filled with an upbeat rhythm and equally hopeful lyrics, the track has been a great K-Pop song for welcoming the new year. Members of WJSN expressed their gratitude at the pleasant surprise at the start of 2021.

"With the love of fans last year, there were unforgettable moments from the very first day," WJSN said in a statement. "But we can't believe that 'As You Wish' topped the music charts again this year. Thank you very much."

The twelve-member girl group also extended their concern for everyone, wishing for a better year ahead. "We hope everyone can overcome COVID-19 and return to having happy lives every day," WJSN added. They also wished that may their song bring hope and comfort to many people.

"Like the lyrics of the song, we will cheer for everyone's wishes to come true this year."

"As You Wish" is the lead single for their seventh EP of the same name, released on November 19, 2019, by the group's respective labels - Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment, with distribution from Kakao M. The seven-track album is a commercial success, peaking at number 2 on the South Korean Gaon Weekly and number 8 on the Monthly album charts. The album's title track managed to debut at 106th place in the Gaon Digital Chart for the week ending on November 23.
