'The Late Late Show' Announces BTS' Crosswalk Segment Broadcast Date + to Perform 'Butter' for 1000th Episode

The highly-awaited crosswalk performance of BTS is set to air soon, in addition to a "Butter" performance.

BTS' Crosswalk Segment on 'The Late Late Show' to Air Mid-December and Perform 'Butter' for 1000th Episode

On December 6 local time, "The Late Late Show with James Corden" announced that a special performance of BTS' hit summer track, "Butter," will be aired as part of the long-running show's upcoming 1000th episode celebration on December 8.

Not only that, but the seven-member boy group's highly-awaited crosswalk performance on the show is set to broadcast this coming December 16 local time.

BTS was previously spotted filming with James Corden outside of CBS Television City's building at an intersection of Beverly and Genesee roads in Los Angeles following the Grammy-nominated group's arrival in the United States for their international activities.

The group reportedly performed their hit English singles "Butter," "Dynamite," and "Permission to Dance," along with several back-up dancers, to lucky passerbys.

The Crosswalk concert is a segment on "The Late Late Show" where guests, along with James Corden, perform a mini-concert and musical numbers on the crosswalk in the streets of Los Angeles, while cars are also waiting at the red light.

BTS had previously made an in-studio appearance on "The Late Late Show" back on November 24, where they reunited with James Corden for the first time in over two years following the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the show, BTS and James Corden talked about numerous topics - even including the recent controversy the "The Late Late Show" host got himself embroiled in with BTS' fans - ARMY - and officially addressed the issue during the episode.

In addition, BTS also performed "Permission to Dance" on the late-night show.

BTS Takes Extended Period of Rest

On December 2, BTS completed their four-night offline concert "Permission to Dance On Stage" at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, which earned a whopping $33.3 million after selling over 200,000 tickets.

Following the exciting concert, BTS performed at the Los Angeles leg of iHeartRadio's Jingle Ball tour this year.

After officially wrapping up their U.S activities, members Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook returned to South Korea and began their 10-day quarantine, while RM, Suga, J-Hope, and V will return at a later date.

At the same time, BTS' label Big Hit Music announced that the group would be taking a much-needed extended period of rest this coming holiday.

According to a statement released, this will mark BTS' second official extended break in their entire career, following their first back in 2019.

With that, the members will be spending the holidays with their respective families for the first time since their debut. They will take this time to recharge and get re-inspired for their upcoming activities, such as preparing for a concert and releasing a new album that will mark the "beginning of a new chapter."
