BLACKPINK Jennie Still Receives Hate for BTS V's 'Following' Mistake
BTS V gathered too much attention after he accidentally followed BLACKPINK Jennie's Instagram account. On December 7, there was an online commotion as V was spotted "following" BLACKPINK Jennie.
Because of the persistent recommendation of the app, V accidentally pressed the "follow" button on the social media platform.
As soon as V realized that he hit the button, he quickly unfollowed the BLACKPINK member.
However, he was not quick enough for his following list on the app kept on refreshing and recommending a new set of people to "follow." A lot of ARMYs have seen this and quickly took some screenshot and uploaded it online, which caused a worldwide stir.
Then, V addressed the incident through Weverse.

Nonetheless, some fans went after Jennie's Instagram with unpleasant comments. The hateful remarks continue to this day.
Moreover, in the sea of hateful comments on Jennie's account, some commented that they leave Jennie alone and it was only a mistake. But it was apparently not enough as some still flood the "SOLO" singer's IG with hostility.

BTS Members Open Personal Instagram Accounts
On December 6, BTS members opened their personal Instagram accounts. They have drawn attention by launching their indivual IG for the first time in eight years since their debut.
Since the launching, BTS showed immense growth. Each of them surpassed 10 million followers in less than 24 hours after opening, showing a ripple effect.
Because of the surge of followers on BTS members' personal Instagram account, the boys had to close the comment section of their posts to prevent flooding of comments from the fans.
Moreover, they are in the situation where only the members can follow each other, except for Big Hit Music, their agency.
However, since the BTS members are new to the app, they were spotted exploring the platform's surroundings. One of them, BTS V, mistakenly followed BLACKPINK Jennie.
V quickly unfollowed BLACKPINK Jennie. He then took to Weverse his side of the story to give some clarifications, saying that it was an accident.
"Recommended by Instagram... Is there a way to get rid of this? It's a scary app."
Because of BTS V's mistake, online posts asking about why V followed Jennie along with their friendship has been spreading all over the internet.

Others also asked what kind of relationship the two have by commenting on Jennie's recent post on Instagram.
Meanwhile, BLINKs continue to show their love to Jennie by flooding her account with postive and encouraging words.
