Where are the TREI Members Now? Know Where EXID's Former Juniors are Following the Group's Disbandment

You might have heard of the famous "Up & Down" singers EXID, but did you know that they had a junior boy group called TREI. The band, however, disbanded just one year after its debut. Curious where the members are now? Then, keep on reading!

Who is the K-pop Boy Group TREI?

TREI was a three-member boy group that debuted under Banana Culture in February last year. The band started as a duo composed of Changhyun and Jaejun and debuted in August 2017. Juntae was then added to the group in May 2018 and the trio re-debuted as TREI in February 2020 with their first mini-album "Born."

Prior to their official debut, TREI released a single, titled "Nike." The trio only had two music releases throughout their career.

On June 15, 2020, TREI Changhyun announced on his Instagram account that he had left the group and Banana Culture. Four days later, it was revealed that all three members of the group left the company and decided to part ways.

Although the three members wrote messages to the fans, Banana Culture didn't officially announce TREI's disbandment and what the reason was for the decision. Rumors say that the boy group decided to terminate their contract with Banana Culture, alongside the three remaining EXID members in the agency, as the label would be shutting down.

Not to mention, a media outlet reported in March 2020 that Banana Culture will officially close and that the major executives and employees have left the agency. This report was then denied by the company later on.

Changhyun was TREI's former main rapper and maknae (youngest). After leaving Banana Culture in February last year, no reports were saying he joined a new company.

But, former TREI member Changhyun seems to be continuing his path in the music industry as he was revealed to be credited as a co-writer and co-composer of TRI.BE's latest comeback song "Veni Vidi Vici" which came out this past October.

Other than that, he launched a YouTube channel and has been releasing new songs here. He also has an Instagram account you can follow.
