On December 10 KST, officials from the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) announced that a special collaboration performance is well under way for this year's awards ceremony.
According to MAMA, six popular idols from fourth generation groups are banding together to present an epic and soon-to-be legendary performance for the opening of the show.
Stray Kids' Hyunjin, ATEEZ's Wooyoung, ITZY's Yeji, TXT's Yeonjun, aespa's Karina, and ENHYPEN's Heeseung were announced to be the idols performing together for the opening stage.
The six idols' opening performance will kick-start the ceremony by delivering the main message of this year's MAMA, "Make Some Noise," to global audiences under the theme of "BlooM the Sound."
In a time where it is difficult for everyone to gather and meet, it is expected that Hyunjin, Wooyoung, Yeji, Yeonjun, Karina, and Heeseung's performance will liven up the atmosphere and bring back hope and energy.

In other news, British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, who will be peforming at the 2021 MAMA, is set to present a mashup of his hit songs "Bad Habits" and "Shivers" at the awards ceremony.
Recently, Ed Sheeran released a remix of "Shivers" featuring Jessi and Sunmi. Whether the three artists will be performing the remix together on stage is still a mystery. However, fans are hoping for a live performance of the remix in the future.
