Wanna One to Unveil New Version of 'Beautiful' at 2021 MAMA Performance
On December 7 KST, media outlets have reported that Wanna One will be unveiling a new version of "Beautiful" at this year's Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) for their special reunion stage this coming December 11 KST.
"Beautiful" is the title song of Wanna One's repackaged album of their debut mini-album "1-1=0 (Nothing Without You)," that was released in November 2017 and has become a representative song of the group.
The original version of the song can be described as a midtempo EDM-pop ballad that features synths and a steady beat. Lyrically, "Beautiful" is about expressing the feelings of loneliness, fear, and longing from being alone.
The song has been loved by many fans even up to this day as it depicts the story of how incomplete we can be, before meeting each other to become one and more beautiful together.

In fact, due to the popularity of "Beautiful," Wanna One released a part two version of the song in 2018.
As the song is a fan-favorite, many are excited to see what kind of version the group will present at the year-end awards ceremony, and what kind of message the new version of "Beautiful" will express.
Unfortunately, only 10 of the 11 members of the group will be reuniting, with Lai Kuan Lin unable to participate as he is not actively promoting in South Korea.
Meanwhile, ahead of their performance, Wanna One said, "We missed working as a team. We are happy that we can perform as Wanna One once again after a long time."

Wanna One is a project group that was formed through the second season of Mnet's survival program, "Produce 101," back in 2017, and featured Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, Lee Dae Hwi, Kim Jae Hwan, Ong Seong Wu, Park Woo Jin, Yoon Ji Sung, Hwang Min Hyun, Bae Jin Young, Ha Sung Woon, and Lai Kuan Lin as its members.

This means that their upcoming performance at the 2021 MAMA will mark the group's first performance together after three years, exciting fans from all over the world with their highly-anticipated reunion.
