Kep1er Praised for Live Vocals on 'Music Bank'
Kep1er is one of the trending rookies in K-pop nowadays. Though only in the first month of their debut, they have already broken records and garnered several achievements with their debut song "WA DA DA."
Despite facing criticism over the line-up and the quality of their debut song, Kep1er attained several music show wins, putting them on the same level as aespa, ITZY and IVE.

Several girl groups from the fourth generation of K-pop have come under scrutiny for their vocal skills, such as aespa and ITZY. Because of that, people were extra critical of Kep1er.
However, instead of being disappointed, many were impressed by the members' talents. Their raw vocals have gotten popular with internet users, which can be heard clearly through MR-removed videos.
A specific MR removed video that garnered traction is their performance on "Music Bank" on January 14. People noted that the choreography for their debut song, "WA DA DA," featured many complex movements that require the strength and flexibility of each member.
The choreography also depends on the uniformity of each member.

Despite the difficult dance, the members were all able to sing live without cracking their voices. Most members also sang all their lines, making sure not to skip any. They did that while dancing the song perfectly, which is difficult for rookies.
People applauded them, saying even idols with years of experience would find such a task difficult.
Who are the Kep1er Members Praised the Most for Their Live Vocals?
The group ultimately proved themselves. Even members who were criticized for their skills, such as Huening Bahiyyih, earned praise for her smooth vocals.

Among all nine members, Kim Chaehyun and Kim Dayeon garnered the most praise. Kim Chaehyun is considered the group's main vocal, which caused heightened expectations for her.
Despite that, she was able to sing all of her high notes and was stable throughout the whole performance.
Kim Dayeon, dubbed the "Descendent of BLACKPINK Jennie," also garnered praise for staying stable. As the member with the most lines, it is normal to get tired by the end, but she maintains her energy throughout the performance. Dayeon also sings first, and people claim she instantly captivates listeners with her unique vocal colors and singing ability.
