Kep1er is one of the rookie girl groups attracting the most attention in the K-pop community. The girl group was formed in the 2021 survival show "Girls Planet 999" and debuted in 2022 with "WA DA DA." However, as several fourth-generation girl groups have gone under fire for their live vocal ability, many are highly critical of Kep1er and their skills.

A video of Kep1er singing live on "Idol Radio" is currently gaining attention. People compare the onstage and offstage vocals of four particular members: Choi Yujin, Huening Bahiyyih, Shen Xiaoting and Seo Youngeun.
Huening Bahiyyih, the member who is often criticized for her talents, earns praise for her live vocals. People claimed she was stable while performing and that there was not much difference between the AR version and her live singing voice. People hope that Huening Bahiyyih will have more singing lines to show her talent in future releases.

Choi Yujin and Shen Xiaoting were also praised for their vocals. People claimed that they sounded like they "ate their CDs for breakfast" thanks to their excellent vocals and attractive skills.

The member that surprised everyone the most was Seo Youngeun. Seo Youngeun surprised listeners with her charming low voice during the radio show. However, when she performs on stage, her voice is noticeably higher. People agree that it is unnecessary to force Seo Youngeun to sing in a higher register since her natural vocal range is already catchy and attractive.

Kep1er Recent Activities
On February 4, it was confirmed by WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment that Kep1er members Choi Yujin and Kim Dayeon have tested positive for COVID-19 while in quarantine.

Kim Chaehyun and Seo Youngeun have fully recovered and have been discharged from quarantine. They were originally tested positive on January 27.

The other members of Kep1er tested negative and have been discharged from quarantine. They are not showing any symptoms. However, Kep1er will suspend all activities until the positive members have recovered.
