Kep1ans Demand Equal Treatment For Kep1er Hikaru by Trending #HikaruDeservesBetter
On January 27, 2022, Kep1ians took to Twitter to trend the hashtag #HikaruDeservesBetter. There, they demand equal treatment for Kep1er member Hikaru from their company as well ass media outlets.
People pointed out that for all the "WA DA DA" stages, Hikaru and Seo Youngeun and re the only two members who were never selected as ending fairies.

In K-pop, the ending fairy is the member who gets a solo feature during the stage's ending, and the camera zooms on the member that is the main focus.
Additionally, during Kep1er's appearance on "THE SHOW" on January 26, Korean media outlet Top Star News shared individual articles for each member featuring photos of them performing. However, Hikaru and Kang Yeseo did not get their own article from the media outlet.

Additionally, Hikaru is the only member not to have her own solo film shot on "Studio Choom." While all the eight other members have their own solo photo, Hikaru shares her photo with Huening Bahiyyih. It was also pointed out that Hikaru has the least amount of fan cams among the Kep1er members, despite always being among the top three most viewed fan cams.
During Kep1er's first jacket behind-the-scenes video, Hikaru was barely seen. While all the members have individual screentime, Hikaru's screentime was often shared with another member.
Additionally, many are unhappy that during "WA DA DA," Hikaru had fewer lines despite proving herself as a capable rapper on "Girls Planet 999." People believe that some of Kim Dayeon's lines could have been shared with Hikaru. People also pointed out that, despite being part of Kep1er's dance line, she is usually in the back or the corner of the choreography.

Kep1ians are demanding that WAKEONE, the company that is handling Kep1er, look after Hikaru more and provide her the same opportunities as the other members. Additionally, many are demanding music shows and media outlets not to ignore Hikaru, as she is just as talented as the other members.
Currently, WAKEONE has not released a statement on the matter.

Kep1er attained their first music show trophy on "M! Countdown" with their debut track "WA DA DA" on January 13, 2022. Three days before, Kim Chaehyun was announced as the new co-host for SBS MTV's "The Show." She is currently MCing alongside CRAVITY member Minhee.
